Omicron booster effects:
Friday 5:30 pm: got the shot, am happily surprised the typical headache doesnā€™t kick in after an hourā€”no side effects Friday
Sat: 6 amā€”still feeling fine, except a teeny bit of sore armā€”feeling hopeful Iā€™m skipping the worst
Sat 11 amā€”Mack truck of symptoms hitā€”all the top ten except nausea, & sound/light sensitive + my skin feels like itā€™s burning.
Sat 11 pm: fever topped out at 102, still hot/cold/sore
Sun am: no fever, sore arm esp that lymph node, muscle aches

So about 24 hours of truly sucking misery, I couldnā€™t get comfortable, due to the soreness in my muscles/joints and the chills/fever. I started pushing fluids once the headache and fever kicked in.

Sincerely hoping this morningā€™s reduction in symptoms means Iā€™m on my way out. Still grateful I was able to get the Omicron booster and even though it sucked, Iā€™d do it again in a heartbeat. Happy Sunday yā€™all, and wishing anyone else with booster symptoms a swift recovery.

@Minholkin Thank you šŸ˜Š

I have a friend and a nephew by marriage with long Covid, and what they have to go through makes my experience feel like a drop in the bucket.

Just a matter of perspective. I wanted folks to know the booster symptoms can be rough but the alternative is even worse. Per the techā€™s advice Iā€™m waiting 10-14 days for my flu shot and am so glad I did.
