Omicron booster effects:
Friday 5:30 pm: got the shot, am happily surprised the typical headache doesn’t kick in after an hour—no side effects Friday
Sat: 6 am—still feeling fine, except a teeny bit of sore arm—feeling hopeful I’m skipping the worst
Sat 11 am—Mack truck of symptoms hit—all the top ten except nausea, & sound/light sensitive + my skin feels like it’s burning.
Sat 11 pm: fever topped out at 102, still hot/cold/sore
Sun am: no fever, sore arm esp that lymph node, muscle aches

So about 24 hours of truly sucking misery, I couldn’t get comfortable, due to the soreness in my muscles/joints and the chills/fever. I started pushing fluids once the headache and fever kicked in.

Sincerely hoping this morning’s reduction in symptoms means I’m on my way out. Still grateful I was able to get the Omicron booster and even though it sucked, I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Happy Sunday y’all, and wishing anyone else with booster symptoms a swift recovery.

Ok, the fatigue and muscle/joint aches were present all day but not quite as bad as yesterday. Headache off and on, mild fever this evening but tolerable. Arm and closest lymph node under that arm are soooooo sore. Here’s hoping a night of good rest reduces these remaining Omicron booster reactions.

Happy evening COSO Family. Hugs and sweet dreams!

Quick booster update: Yesterday was a hard day, was only able to work half of it. Fever kept randomly returning, still had some not normal aches, & the fatigue was still with me, plus the effing arm / underarm lymph node pain. Woke up this am still fuzzy but by 11 am I finally started to feel back to my normal again… 🙏 except for this effing arm and lymph pains . 😔

Next time lefty is getting the shot, righty is done 🤪

May not happen to you though… neighbor’s mom & sis had zero effects 🤷‍♀️

@StarlightEmber

Goodness tho I am so sorry for the heavy impact of the booster 😔

I appreciate your upbeat attitude 💛

@Minholkin Thank you 😊

I have a friend and a nephew by marriage with long Covid, and what they have to go through makes my experience feel like a drop in the bucket.

Just a matter of perspective. I wanted folks to know the booster symptoms can be rough but the alternative is even worse. Per the tech’s advice I’m waiting 10-14 days for my flu shot and am so glad I did.
