Why America Chose Trump: Inflation, Immigration, and the Democratic Brand
“Harris couldn’t outrun her past or her party— it was a vice grip that proved impossible to escape.”
@TrueBloodNet @Smersh Also I'm flabbergasted by the "cultural issues" thing. When did Harris speak to *any* "cultural issues" (which I assume is code for anything racial/gender related)?
@kwarizmi yes, that is how I interpret that question. It speaks to how those who did not vote for Harris felt the Dems were more concerned with those issue than affordability, etc. issues that affect people more broadly.
The campaign failed to pivot from appealing to the party for the nomination to appealing to those outside the party to win the election.
@TrueBloodNet and how did “everyone who doesn’t like our candidate is a racist and/or sexist” work out for the Dems? 🤔
@Smersh I didn't say that. Generally, I avoid saying all, none, always never etc. I do say that it's a common theme and many won't vote for a woman or a person of color for president. I didn't say there weren't additional reasons. Only that we are trying too many lifts at once. And next time winning is too important.
@Smersh Didn't include her ethnicity or sex so I already know this is a dishonest survey.
