Cătălin Preda, high diver, was removed from the water on a backboard after his qualifying dive earlier today at the RedBull Cliff Diving event in Boston.
Video showed his neck braced and his arms flopping w/out control as rescue divers placed him on the dock.
Preda was named the best male high diver by the European Aquatics Awards in 2023.

I can think of no more a horrifying injury than one sustained diving from great heights. I hope he is not injured badly 🙏🏼
