Sunflower County, MS prosecutor filed paperwork to strip Nakala Murry of her parental rights, following a federal lawsuit on her behalf.
The filings cite the incident from May 2023 when officers who were responding to a domestic violence call -- of which she was the victim -- shot her 11 year-old son who had placed the call, causing a collapsed lung, fractured rib and liver damage.
The officer, Greg Capers, is still on the force after a grand jury declined to indict.
