This kind of looks like wave pools at water parks which begs the question: can those have an intensity ranked via magnitude as well?

That's pretty scary -- you have to figure the aftershocks will frequently be magnitude 5 or more after a quake that strong. That building is already losing the bricks on the facade.
Surprised people aren't hanging out the windows waiting for rescue.
@AlphaCentauri no doubt, plus a couple of 6+ in there too.
There's a couple shots / clips of the midrise collapse and folks crawling out of it. But I think they're still having internet issues on the island and we'll see more in a few hours.
@Smersh if I were a car I’d sure as heck be rolling my windows down.

@Beanc idk, can't decide if random airborne debris would be the bigger concern or not before hitting the water.
Would be very surprised if there weren't deaths in this building. However, the buildings around it look like they weathered the quake far better from some of the other clips floating around.
