I'm sure Tommy helped but it's not like CO's own senators haven't been doing their work:
"CO's U.S. senators met with Def Sec Lloyd Austin this week and came away with an assurance that the ultimate location of Space Command won't be based on political considerations.
“We met with Sec. Austin today and agreed with DOD that politics should have no role in the Space Command basing decision process," Sens. Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper said in a joint statement."

@Smersh The entire existence of space command is a political consideration, because it certainly isn't a practical one.
