This weekend will host the final Mile-High Nationals Drag race from the storied Bandimere Speedway nestled just south of Red Rocks in the foothills of the Rockies. The Speedway is being sold after a spat with local government during the pandemic caused by the hosting of events violating public gathering laws.
However, the current owners are planning on building a facility “ten times the size” out near DIA likely in time to host the annual drag race there next year.

A few years back I was wandering around at Red Rocks during that event. The Funny cars sounded AWESOME!
