So the next 10 episodes of #Bluey to finally hit Disney+ have a side character child dog dealing with a past occurrence that scared the hell out of him through play.
Watching with 16 tonight he wasn't tearing up, I was, and he said, "What's wrong?" And I said, Nothing at all, and that's why it's beautiful.
??
I said- "First grade?"

I said, "You drew pictures of all of it and you built the entire scene with LEGO. You played until it wasn't scary anymore, but you USED it to play, and that's what happened here."
My kid- "I wish I remembered that."
Me- "I'm so glad you don't."
I said remember in first grade when I couldn't leave the house to come pick you up from school because of hail and tornado warnings and when I finally got to the school you were clinging to your teacher under the overhang and I got out of the car to come get you and a bolt of lightning hit right behind me and I kept coming to get you?
He said, "No, I don't."
And I said, That's because you expressed it through play.
