@BigMikey
For real.
Been in rural NC since 2009, before that semi rural Northern Wake County, before that Central Raleigh...
@Shelter I grew up in and spent most of my life in a county very close to Wake county.
Also the SE part of NC is like that too, I studied at a University in the SE part of the state, and there are quite a lot of colorful characters there.
@BigMikey
My kid is going to Vance-Granville for Associate and then transferring to UNC-Wilmington if possible.
Oh dear.
@Shelter No one acknowledges us. Especially not the newest neighbors and their 8 foot privacy fence even when you wave directly at them Fuck em
@Graci
90% of the people who live on this road have been here long enough to know that we'll bust our asses to help them no matter what and they always make sure to greet us or warn people not to fuck with us because the local redneck Mafia will be Upset.
The newer ones are rude AF
@Graci
I'm on a four finger steering wheel greeting with the dads and granddads on this road.
@Graci
Many, many years ago there was a chow mix named Foxy who lived in the area, and she went after my neighbor's second wife and her rat terrier, and I ran over with a baseball bat and got between them and stared Foxy down into leaving.
The only people who don't greet us don't know any better,😂
@Shelter We've been here since 2005 and the people across the street are the only ones newer. Granted there's only 7 in total. One is a totally unreasonably grumpy widow who glares at me from her door whenever I mow. She once yelled at me for cutting part of her lawn (where her son missed).
@Graci
Ah.
She's never gonna come around.
@Shelter Nope. Her husband was a nice man though.
@Shelter NC can be really unique like that. You'll find a lot of interesting characters in the rural areas and small towns.
