You've been lucky.
@Shelter I'm aware, yet I also test regularly. I was very careful with masking the first year and still continue to mask under certain circumstances. I will continue to get every booster available and don't do large gatherings, but Covid is here to stay. Precautions are necessary but I'm not going to live the rest of my life in isolation.
@Pinky_Slivovitz
You're very lucky.
It will kill me.
I'm not exaggerating.
I have to stay home.
That's ableism.
You said that you only mask on flights.
Most disabled people aren't on flights.
They're having to go into stores.
They're having to go into the waiting room and exam room in doctor's offices.
I don't understand how you're protecting people.
not sure how wearing a mask in public to safeguard others is living in isolation but whatever
@Shelter @Pinky_Slivovitz it reduces spread. Not to be nit picky but folks thinking masks are like force fields is also a problem.
@Shelter I've been exposed so many times, I doubt luck plays a part anymore. My own doctor believes I'm likely one of the ones who appear to have some immunity to it.
@Pinky_Slivovitz
And yet you still might carry it.
I am immune to strep.
But I'm a carrier.
@Pinky_Slivovitz
And also you didn't understand the part where masking prevents spread to other people considering that people can carry and not have symptoms.
