And, btw, how I felt during much of my childhood, as news screamed endless cold war and VOA duked it with Radio Moscow on shortwave.

I'm sorry Eva, I wish I could have taken that fear away from you. I can only imagine how you felt. I surely do hope it's something you never ever have to face again.
@SheepOverboard The fear I felt yesterday in Hawaii was a little different: it was the realization that a ballistic missile was on its way and my family and pets were going to die in a matter of minutes. It wasnโt โThis could possibly happen at any time,โ it was โThis is happening right now and we are for sure all going to dieโ.
