And, btw, how I felt during much of my childhood, as news screamed endless cold war and VOA duked it with Radio Moscow on shortwave.

@SheepOverboard The fear I felt yesterday in Hawaii was a little different: it was the realization that a ballistic missile was on its way and my family and pets were going to die in a matter of minutes. It wasn’t “This could possibly happen at any time,” it was “This is happening right now and we are for sure all going to die”.
