Insurance tip: Most car insurance covers you if you rent a car. Check with your agent, especially if renting international. Also make sure any additional drivers' insurance covers them.

But one thing it may not cover. If the car is damaged and can't be rented, you may be liable for loss of revenue. And that may not be covered. Check to see if you can get a rider for that. State Farm has a rider that cost me $30 for 6 months.

Please folks, chip your pets. As an animal communicator, I dealt with many lost animals in the past two weeks. None of them were chipped. “They never go out.” “They’re always on a leash.” Are some of the excuses. I’m currently dealing with 2 pets recently moved and don’t know the area and not chipped.
