Welcome to the US third world health care system. I need hernia surgery. Can’t even get an appointment with the surgeon until 4/17.
@ShamanTom in Mexico you can get in almost immediately and the full cost is probably the same as your co-pay. Some book a vacation, have a fun-filled few days, get surgery and recuperate for less than a co-pay.
It's not for everyone, it's just available before 4/17.
