Folks, I have seen my first Cybertruck in the wild and, well, I got a problem with you all on social media that ragged on this.
Y'all really did not do your due diligence in describing just how hideous this thing is when seeing it in thr real world; because, it's even WORSE than the memes would lead to to believe.
It looks like someone ran out of time to build a truck, went to Home Depot, bought all the cheap sheet metal, cut it and glued them to the frame.
It is, a meme car.
@SentinelOfTruth I was so shocked when I saw one live, literally did the cartoon character rubbing of my eyes. And then I started laughing at the driver, which was uncharitable but I donβt think they saw me and I couldnβt help it.
@SentinelOfTruth I live in Austin. We're awash with the damned things. I sometimes peruse the subreddit r/CyberStuck for some amusement.
@SentinelOfTruth I worked at a sheet metal factory many years ago, we couldn't made something that looks better than this. There is a guy across the street from my office that has one.

@SentinelOfTruth I saw a couple in California when we visited. Hadnβt seen one locally (NC) until this week. Still hideous. Why anyone would buy one instead of a Rivian, I donβt know. Iβve seen at least a half dozen Rivians on the roads here.
