Sally Yates was my first choice, Doug Jones was my second.

I think Biden went with Garland as a consolation prize for the SCOTUS non-appointment (and the botched Clinton appointment), but underestimated the fact Obama chose Garland because he was, well, moderate and centrist. A solid judge who hasn't prosecuted since the '90s.

We needed an AmStaff, we got a Bassett Hound. 😕
