New experience: received an overdue notice for an unpaid parking ticket from the city of Oakland (where I've never been) for a car I don't own. Fun times. Mailed in my challenge response, let's see how this goes.
You might want to double check other personal information and accounts. Sounds like somebody may have done a bit of identity theft. You can put a hold on your credit (all 3 companies). Also, Jester provides free information on whether or not your personal data was involved in a data breach.
@BlueStateBabe thx. Already froze my credit on all 3 companies when my data was leaked thru a company hack. Filing the challenge form was free and didn't request any information they already had. (Name, address, and license plate were correct on the citation). It was the make and model that were incorrect. Plus, never been to Oakland
