Tech Press: ENOUGH with ad nauseam camera coverage of phones. If your review is more than 10 percent about the camera just stop! Even among nerds, most of us aren't photographers and simply don't care about f stops or megapixels beyond 12.

@Redcarpet I am an amateur photographer and would never reach for my phone over a 'real' camera for any shot requiring quality. The physics involved with the dimensions of a smartphone limit the capabilities of the camera. Most of the photographic 'features' they're rolling out these days are software imitations of optical effects achieved with a real camera.

@Redcarpet I commented to my wife just a few days ago that I see the entire industry hyping their cameras. Smartphones enjoyed the ability to cannibalize other mobile devices as the tech miniaturized. They ran out of things to stuff into smartphones a while ago. Now they're introducing 'features' that are just niche or downright silly.

@MakerWerks They did. Is an iPhone 6s or a Galaxy s7 really that different from S22 or iPhone 14? No its not. You scroll feeds, listen to audio, watch video, post, and use various apps just about the same. Pictures look nicer of course, but 99 percent of the time it doesn't matter.
