I would give strong odds that whatever the results of Elon's "poll" end up being, they were decided before it was posted.
Either he wants a come-from-behind "win" so he can claim some kind of bogus popular mandate (release the bots!), or he wants cover for stepping aside under investor pressure and to stabilize Tesla's stock.
Either way, confident it's all bollocks.
@RationalLeft I would bet on the latter. Gives him a chance to exit with “integrity” after realizing that he’s completely screwed it up. “I was consistently listening to the voice of the people!”
@RationalLeft: Yep. That's been my wager for the last several days. Pressure mounting from Tesla, SpaceX, Wall Street, and the Saudis, not to mention the no-nonsense he's been on the receiving end of from the EU, may've taken its toll already.
