Talked to Mom today. She was just checking up. Eventually the subject turned to politics. She can’t stand Trump and Vance (she’s in her 80’s). She can’t understand how they are even on the ticket.
“They’re just stupid people. I can’t even listen to them.” Mom and Dad both were born in Texas and both very liberal.
She’s excited about Harris. But worried about this being like Hillary. I said, “Mom, in every election prior to that a white man lost. We can’t let one election stop us”
