So... who wants to share a word from their filter? hehe... 😯

@NorCalCherylLyn I was never a big blocker on Twitter. Thirteen years, I probably blocked, mmmm, less than ten times, maybe. I do like this filtering, though. If--hypothetically--there were a real TRIGGER subject, by the time you've read the thing (and before you could mute the account), the triggering has already happened. It's more proactive. In any case, a really nice option based on a really simple mechanism. I dig it.

@PeaceMob definitely a fantastic option here! I just haven’t seen anything I’d screen out yet on CoSo.

On Twitter (4 accts over about the time as you, I kept offending RWers) I blocked/muted liberally. The hate there is toxic.

@NorCalCherylLyn Funny--I always found a LOT more hate on Facebook than Twitter. But on Twitter I mainly follow writers, musicians, and TTRPG players. Relatively apolitical folks.

@PeaceMob I quit FB 4 years ago. My FB friends were all pretty cool and the few who weren’t didn’t attack me a 2nd time.

On the bird was told more times than I can remember that, as a boomer, I should help the country out and just die. I tried reasoning with some of them but no luck. Immediately blocked those. The “let’s go Brandon” folks, Covid liars, porn DMers…my list was long. 😀

@NorCalCherylLyn I've brushed up against all of those types, but have tended to skate by. I've always used my real photo on fb, and until just a couple of years ago on Twitter. I suppose the fact I'm not a woman also made me a bit less likely to be attacked. I'm sure you understand what I mean by that. I still use all of them. FB is most useful for keeping tabs on my family. Twitter is just for laughs, but I can see myself dropping that one altogether at any point.

@PeaceMob well partly my fault because I tend to see those posts and try to read in with them. Gave that up and just blocked them.

I still technically am on FB but only so I can keep Messenger for my friends there. Haven’t posted since Covid.

CoSo was a wonderful find for me. It’s a very non-antagonistic, friendly place.

@NorCalCherylLyn this community is definitely different, and I feel the same way. This is pretty much what I ever hoped for when I started putting messages into modems decades ago. It's been a wonderful affirmation that it's possible--and in 2022, no less! Very impressive--and when I say that, I guess I can pat myself on the back, because the reason is that basically everyone here treats it like a community and not a billboard for their personal brand). Wonderful! 💜
