A friend asks you to play a game with them. It is a painful, unpleasant experience where you and the other person had no fun. After, you say things like "That experience was so bad, that I nearly quit gaming forever" but sometimes laugh while telling the story. What you should interpret from that is:

A: That experience was so bad, it almost made me permanently stop doing something I love. I never want to do it again.

or

B: That was fun. Let's do it again!

@AskTheDevil Definitely A. I've had some gaming experiences that I can definitely tell you were absolutely the worst in regards to playing with friends and other players ruining the fun. Even left a few games because the community got so bad that there was just no "safe" spot to enjoy roleplaying with friends in the game.
