All right. Did some checking around. I did find a newer and better make and model that's decent in price. I'm not looking for anything fancy. I'm just looking for something functional with decent amount of memory and camera for family memories and artwork archiving. So I may talk with my husband and see if we can actually put funds down for this in the next couple months so I may be without a phone for a little while. SAMSUNG Galaxy A15 5G https://a.co/d/5sCJHsg
@PaganMother I try to make sure my real digital life is somewhere I can't drop it in the toilet or something, as I might. A nice side-effect is I worry less about what's stored on my phone (my hubby has a similar phone with a big card for his music). All my stuff gets dumped _from_ the phone to one digital place, so whatever phone or computer or whatever, I can get to it all.
I personally am mad at Google, but if you have a Samsung phone, they do make keeping your stuff in their cloud easy.
@AskTheDevil Yeah I'm none too happy with Google and the pixel models at the moment. 2 years owned and its battery blows out the case.
@PaganMother I've had fine luck with cheap phones, and if something happens to them, it doesn't feel like I stabbed the family in the bank.
@PaganMother I've got a moto g stylus. Similar price range. Pros: Decent stylus and camera.
As for being big enough to store media: I keep most photos and stuff in the cloud except stuff I absolutely might need to access offline. We run our own cloud in the house, but before that I used Google's cloud backup. And you can usually buy a big storage card for cheap.
