Happy Pride Month everyone!
This month is especially important to folks like me so allow me to introduce myself to the new folks on the neighborhoods here!
Hi, I'm Melrose, I'm a transmasc pagan mother of a young cis son. I love to do art, toy with AI and help people better understand what being transgender is like as well as providing support to my peeps! I'm neurodiverse (AuAdhd) and a trauma survivor. Rock on people! ❤️ 🏳️🌈 #lgbtqia #pride

Both of these organizations are dedicated to helping transport families that are in dangerous states to save states or sanctuary states for children and adults that are transgender that need to receive transgender care. These organizations are in dire need of support both in volunteer services as well as donations. Every little bit counts. #lgbtqia #pride
If you're unfamiliar with the situation right now, there is legislature across the country that is basically trying to ban our existence. Something that everyone deserves is to live a life at home with their own bodies. Dysphoria is a condition That leads one to basically hate the body they were born with and want to change it to adapt to the gender that they identify with the most. #lgbtqia #pride
I personally am transmasc but I identify as a demiman. What this means is that I do have some feminine attributes, but I am preferable to being a man in identity. I don't mind being called a she her or he him. They is is a comfortable Middle ground if that's okay, but that's my preferred pronouns. I'm in the process of transitioning. I'm in my mid-40s and the only reason I didn't transition sooner is because my birth family had traumatized me into the closet. #lgbtqia #pride
It's important to understand that transgender people are just normal people stuck in the wrong gendered body. It's hard to make sense of for those that live a CIS life and I completely understand that. What I do is offer advice and guidance for those that are uncertain about transgender people or wanting to better understand what our lives are like. We're no different from anybody else, we're just wearing a different gender basically. #pride #lgbtqia
So if anyone has any questions about transgender life or want to actually know more, feel free to follow along or feel free ping with the #lgbtqia tag. Pride is meant for everyone, Not just for one group or one flag under the LGBTQ flags. We celebrate this month flying our wonderful colors because all of us are different, but we're all wonderful people with beautiful souls, glorious hearts and brave spirits. #lgbtqia #pride
@PaganMother sliding in for a moment. #Transgender is good too.
@Graci Nice! I didn't know we had that tag. The more I know! 😅
@PaganMother I use #LGBTQ and #LGBTQNews daily. 😀
@PaganMother Thank you for your information. I’m an old woman and much of the vocabulary is new to me, but I absolutely love and accept everyone just as they are and who they are (except maybe orange menace cultists). I abhor what legislators are doing all over the country. It’s ignorant and hateful.
You keep being you and being out there to educate the rest of us. Thank you.
@GrandmaJ Of course Grandma. I try to help people understand what it's like and what we're dealing with in regards to contesting our existence and a lot of the misinformation that's out there about us. If you ever have any questions feel free to reach out okay?
@PaganMother Thank you for being a resource for our community. 😊@GrandmaJ
@PaganMother Thank you. I will.
@PaganMother I am your ally. I chair a hospital community advisory board that works with trans patients & community. I have found that most people who are trying to legislate trans folks out of existence have never met anyone who is trans. I've gotten to know dozens of trans folks through my work & they're just... people. All sorts of personalities & professions & views. Just. People. We need to do better.
Happy Pride! 🩷🤍🩵 🏳️🌈
@Sheree Thank you so much for standing up for us. It's hard and emotionally draining for a lot of us to be able to do it for ourselves.
To be in the know, there's a ton of misinformation spun up by hate groups and religious groups nation wide, and I took in the unofficial shield to help my folks find safe states for residential living as well as other resources for those in domestic violence situations. If you want to help people in really threatening situations there's a coulple organizations I can recommend donating to or offering to volunteer with! #lgbtqia #pride
