CDKeys currently has Disco Elysium - The Final Cut for £5.49 on Steam

(Also for £14.29 for the GoG platform)

Have heard lots of good stuff about it, and this is the lowest I've seen it, so I bit the bullet.

(Prices in £ 'cos I'm in the UK, not sure if the discount applies to other countries)

@66ALW99 $5.87 (USD) sounds like a hell of a good deal. Worth the buy from what I've heard of the game and it's story.

@PaganMother I've heard lots of people singing it's praises, but I've held off because I simply don't have the times to play games so much - but at that price, it seemed rude not to, lol

Honestly, I've had so many good experiences via gaming over the years that I don't mind if I never get round to playing it, I get good vibes from just supporting devs who seem to care about their product (even if it's only at a small discounted amount!)

@PaganMother Something I've meant to do for a while but, unfortunately, not been in a great position financially until a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully my recent turnaround will last :)

It's a good place. I'll probably forget about the extra stu....

WAIT.

NOW I CAN DO ALL THE VR STUFF!

Omg I'm gonna have so much fun with that, I love doing 3D modelling! :D

@66ALW99 Yeee! I've actually been dipping into Resonite on ocassion just to see what kind of stuff people can do on VR platforms. :D I don't have an avatar just yet for the realms on there but I like to explore.

@PaganMother If you want to have a play, I'd personally start with getting a copy of Blender.

(I think v4 has just come out, I still need to d/l that and tinker!)

I did have a brief play with the CoSo Realms stuff, but didn't invest a lot of time into it because a) I was relatively new to Blender and b) without Pro, you can save what you made

I'll totally be playing with it more soon, though!

@66ALW99 I'll check it out! I'm a bit new to 3D modeling, but it'll be interesting to see some of the things I can draw being made into a 3D format. :D

@PaganMother If you're into drawing, you may be interested in checking out the 'grease pencil' stuff.

It's not new, it's been there a while and it's pretty well integrated. Essentially, it allows 2D drawing in a 3D environment. Big subject, but this video gives a decent overview of what's possible:

@66ALW99 I'll definitely look into that, I had been considering getting a smart notebook to transfer drawings to a digital system for further detail work. I've a decent enough laptop for my digital creative work just lacking on certain tools at the moment.
