Our representatives are not listening to us as citizens of this state, and we wanted to ask you to consider vetoing the following bills if they come to pass to your desk for the good of your transgender and LGBTQ citizens. We deserve protections and rights that prevent us from being targeted by harmful legislation that lacks medical research backing it.
The bills in question: MI HB4195, MI HB4257, MI HB4345 2/
If you live in the USA and are worried and concerned about the damage these bills present to your state and the LGBTQ of our country, please take a close look at https://translegislation.com/ and search your state for upcoming bills to contact your gov. representatives and congress members. It is SO fucking important that you voice those concerns NOW, more than EVER. #Politics #LGBTQ
@PaganMother I am extremely concerned for people I love and the entire world, if GQP bigots win the presidency they will spread the hate even further and have access to nukes!
@Tattoomonkey29 Look up democratic candidates in your region, do some background hunting to learn more about them, if they stand up for the LGBTQ and equality, encourage your family and friends to vote for them, and vote for them yourself. Keeping the hate mongers out of office is our role. Kicking the GQP out, is part of our responsibility here in the US as citizens. *nods.*
@PaganMother They are few and far between here in Shasta County Ca but there are many good people here trying to eradicate the hate!!
To note, medical decisions should be made between the parents and the transgender individuals and not by a group of politicians or pastors/priests. Social transitioning is something that's important to all of us to embrace ourselves as we transition to the gender we identify as. Bathroom access is something that everyone should have, and restricting that is borderline hostility to us as a community.
Please keep us in your prayers and in mind with your works, the world is watching, as are we. /3
