Got a new doctor at the clinic I'm assigned to for my primary care. Nice lady, quick thinking too. Soon as I caught her up on 3 years of no care or treatment, and informed her about the therapist I"m working with downstate, she's digging for contacts and info on her end to find trans-friendly coleagues so I can find access to care that I currently DON'T have in my part of MI. (I'd have to travel 6 hrs south to the closest specialists.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hL5yJTtwEik #CoSoMusic Woodkid - Run boy Run! 1/
The good thing is I'm catching up on my test, and other physical care needs with my physician, but the bad thing is I may have to travel to Grand Rapids to get the surgery I need later this coming spring. But the good news out of this is that Melrose, will be emerging from under that scalpel within the New Year for certain. 2/2
Admittedly, I'm scared but I'm more excited than I am scared because I don't have to hide myself anymore. I don't to pretend to being a gender that doesn't fit me and hasn't fit me most of my life. I can finally just let down the hair, sit back, and just breathe, knowing that I won't have to go back into the closet, or trying to mask for the rest of my life. I might not live a longer life, but I'll be happy, and to me, that counts far more than surviving until the end of my days does.
@Megalicious Thank you, I'll keep this blessing close to heart. <3
