*sighs.* Those people really don't get it. Marriage is marriage, you be with the person you love the most and vow your life to be with them. It doesn't matter what gender you and they are, if you love them, you love them, pure and simple.
To say one is real and the other is not, is a strawman defense that has no basis what so ever. #LGBTQ
@PaganMother It's crazy nuts cuckoo that we're back to this BS. Leave people alone already. There are enuf real issues (I'm looking at you climate change) to waste time relitigating human rights.
@PaganMother One yr when i was in high school, they had this day where we could attend workshops (instead of classes) with various topics meant to widen our horizons on subjects not talked about very much back then. One of the offerings i chose that day was listening to a gay man talking about his life. I'm thankful for his bravery (it was the early 90s) & grateful to him for opening up my eyes that underneath it all we are human beings and everybody deserves to be treated equally/fairly.
@ChillySnowgirl I beliieve there is a project called the "Human Library" that consists of people from all walks of life and backgrounds. You choose one of them to sit with and listen to them speak of their story, where they came from, their upbringing and experiences. I think it's in norway, brilliant way to break bias and cycles of hate and abuse.
@PaganMother I saw that! Might have been on "60 Minutes", or perhaps i just saw it online. I love the idea of it, and it would be amazing if some form of it were available everywhere (even if they did it every couple of months in small towns).
@PaganMother Absolutely 100% correct.
