I try to slightly bring out politics with people I getting to know.
Last time I didn't was awful.
I was dating a guy who said he prefers to stay away from politics and after FOUR years he told me he (Mexican!) thought Trump was right.
@Marc_T_Benedict You said it right. If they're not willing to discuss politics it's because they're either ignorant or dishonest.
@Oyetessa I can never tell whether people who express an aversion to politics are just being dishonest or, once they've finally decided to politically engage, their decisions are simply an accurate reflection of their ignorance.
