Biden's "commitment" to is tepid at best. Here is just one example commondreams.org/news/biden-bi

"A new report published Wednesday details how the fossil fuel industry—with assistance from the Biden administration—has taken advantage of Russia's war on Ukraine to secure long-term methane gas export contracts that will lock in years of planet-warming emissions and further pad Big Oil's profits."

@NorthernInvader I don’t think Biden will be making too many life changing decisions concerning that right now or in what’s left of his life time. Tepid is a little better than denier but I get your point for sure. Still glad he’s here for other reasons. But I have no illusions on that.

@bmacmixer and the problem with that though is that we are pretty much out of time to avoid the disastrous consequences of . The amount of excess CO2 in the atmosphere today (even if no more is added) will continue to raise global average temperature for the next 30-50 years. We are out of time for current political nonsense

@NorthernInvader I am not disagreeing with you. I’m just being realistic about Biden. I like him but he’s probably not going to be very effective next term if he runs and wins unless there is a full congress behind him. We already see it with the house being MAGATS now. No US president alone will make enough happen fast enough for that matter. Congress has to be behind it. And if the Magat Supreme Court doesn’t do it’s bullshit as well. It’s not a good situation.
