Damn thieves are bold! My P.O. Box is a lot safer than the typical rural mailbox. And the group boxes have always been a joke but now they don’t even need to vandalize them…just rob the carrier. 🤬
@lsnow11 we were on a rural road and had ours pried open numerous times. Happened so often the USPS started trying to charge us for the new locks. I too would rather they just use a screwdriver and pry them open old school!
@NorCalCherylLyn yeah, we're in a rural area, but the mailbox is very visible and on a relatively busy road, which probably helps.
@lsnow11 I’m sure it does! We were a through road between the two main routes. EASY access through. Had all kinds of stuff dumped and multiple mailbox break ins.

@NorCalCherylLyn yikes! We haven’t had any problems with our group mailbox (yet), but I’d rather they vandalize it than threaten the mail carriers!
