@NorCalCherylLyn My dad worked for the government years ago on top secret projects, may he rest in peace. He told me once that ruling parties/governments used religion to control people. What is happening right now in the USA is a perfect example of what he told me so many years ago. It's so important that we have separation of church and state.
@Resister_Grandma so very important!! Stepdad was an Atheist and we I grew a nonbeliever. Most of his friends were too I think. I was never indoctrinated into a religion and usually skipped the “under god” part of the pledge. As a child I understood it didn’t belong there.
