I am wondering if the way I am feeling is tied to my Covid vax last week.

Here's my logic. I've had bad and outsized reactions before to the shot, and it generally has left me sick. This time I got the pfizer shot, which was a first for me.

I've had some deep chest congestion, very mild, since I got the shot. It's come and gone since the day after, but its been back with a vengeance the last few days.

The body just does not seem to handle the shot well.

@NiveusLepus I'm pretty sure I got sick from the last shot, about a week after, even took a Covid test. I'm isolated most of the time..

Not looking forward to my 10/7 flu/Covid appt. Hope you feel better soon. 🐰❤️‍🩹

@gemswinc My symptoms, such as they are, are transient and nebulous. General weakness, sudden fatigue, and congestion that comes and goes.

I guess its kind of like having a very weak version of Covid, but I wouldn't know firsthand as I've never had the bug.

I'm still resolved to get vaxed. For all the side effects, it's not hospitalizing me, and its keeping others from potentially being hospitalized so I suppose that's fair.

@NiveusLepus I had to think really hard about getting another booster. It will be my 8th Covid shot. 🤞

@gemswinc This was my fifth. I've been kind of hedging on it myself, getting updated about once a year.

@NiveusLepus Every 5 or 6 months here... ambivalent at this point.

@gemswinc I'm not worried about getting it myself. I'm probably in decent enough condition to fight it off, what I'm most worried about and I find the most motivating to push forward on the Vax is the potential impact on those around me.

@NiveusLepus Understood, you are very active w/ friends etc. It's my age that impels me, but I do wonder about diminishing returns and insults to the body. One more, at any rate.

@NiveusLepus It can vary. I got a COVID booster and a flu shot 3 days ago and didn't feel a thing other soreness, and now a little itchiness, at the injection site. My spouse, same. But one earlier COVID Shot had us both feeling cruddy for a day or two.
Both before and after last week's shots, my more-or-less seasonal asthma ticked up a little. Maybe you've got a bit of that going on, or another of the respiratory viruses humans love to pass around.

@NiveusLepus Correction: the itch is not from the vaccine, it's from the band-aid that covered the injection site. My body, in its wisdom, has decided to develop a sensitivity to the adhesives used in band-aids.🙄

@NiveusLepus Mine doesn't either, but I like to think of it as my immune system getting thoroughly pissed off.

"THIS trash again?! Oh, HELL naw!"

Good job, immune system. You stay mad at COVID. You stay mad at COVID forever.

@NiveusLepus Maybe circle back with your provider or doctor just in case? Peace of mind?

@SaltyVeruca I wont be back near home for about a month, but if it continues that long, yeah definitely.
