Good morning groovy souls!

I've bee on the struggle with my fitness and gym goals the last couple weeks, and I realized this morning that all the stress of travel and work these last six months, along with my rigorous training schedule, I'm feeling strained.

No matter how much I want to, part of me is burning out. Yesterday, I was hurting and exhausted so I rested, and then my eating went a bit over the top.

Avoiding recrimination, I took time to really think about where I am today.

@NiveusLepus

Just call it a cheat day and feel no guilt.
Rest and relaxation of mind, body and soul are just as important a part of your fitness life.
Take the time needed to reset and refocus.
Come back stronger.
You got this.

@MrsDanaD Exactly right. I need a little time where I'm not pushing so hard, and denying myself that and trying to soldier on is what's been leading to the cycle I've been on.

Choosing to prioritize rest for a day or two, I can "control the landing" ^_^

@NiveusLepus

Absolutely!
The rest will invigorate you physically, mentally and emotionally.
Let fitness be a great addition but not a sacrifice.
Then you’ll continue to enjoy it and be even more motivated.
Stick that landing, Simone 😉🏅
