Good morning groovy souls!

Seeking the middle way today and taking the day off from the gym. I feel pretty good and I slept well, but my knee is really giving me problems again.

When this happens its normally time for new shoes, but the constant pulse of pain from it is telling me not to push.

I want to push, I keep thinking, maybe just a quick 5 k? But I know that's a good way to miss the rest of the week, instead of just a day.

Patience, and prudence will ensure progress!

Good morning, Becca! 😊 🐿️

Sounds like a wise move, sometimes more is less. And a good reminder for all of us to pace ourselves. ❤️

@p3R1n01D Good morning my bush tailed friend! Always a joy to connect. We are both critters of the night it seems. ^_^

Yeah, my knee is hurting, but if I give it a day itll probably give me the week. I'm making some serious progress and I'm feeling quite protective of that.

@NiveusLepus
Yeah, I'm the world's only nocturnal squirrel! 😉

That's great about your progress! I've been feeling the same way about a minor cold I'm fighting off, have to remember to finish getting better. I'll be sending good healing vibes for your knee! 😊 🐿️

@p3R1n01D Get well soon buddy! Being nocturnal is the normal for my species in spirit. It's something that has been life long for me. I function much better waking up at 2200 instead of 0700.

@NiveusLepus
Thanks! 😊 🐿️ Same for me. I was born in the middle of the night, and it's been my thing ever since.

@p3R1n01D I came across my birth certificate the other day. 13:32 (1:32 pm)

Such a curious thing.

My grandfather had a theory: those born in the morning are morning larks. Those born in the afternoon/night are night owls.

I know it's true in my family. How about everyone else? 🤔

@Teej_Muk @p3R1n01D I'm not certain if its that cut and dry but its a solid and testable theory which would lead to good data regardless.

I know there has been research that has found a genetic link to something called "Delayed Sleep Phase" It seems some are hardwired to have opposite circadian rhythms.

This has been speculated to have arisen so that there would always be someone on alert in the night, to protect the tribe.

@NiveusLepus @Teej_Muk
Ooh, that's an interesting one! I've always sort of felt that myself, like I'm on night watch, but hadn't heard of any research into it!

@NiveusLepus @p3R1n01D

I live with my mom in the house I grew up in. She was born in the AM & is a morning person. I was born at 2.15p and am a night person. We spend the evening hours together. We're not in each other's hair all day! It works out well for us.

@Teej_Muk @p3R1n01D That's one of the aspects I like most about my nights. I always have time in the quiet to focus on things.

@NiveusLepus @p3R1n01D

I got a job last year working 3 12-hr shifts a week. I do the 6.15a-6.45p shift so my sleep schedule is all wonky! I don't really have a set sleep schedule. I stay up when I can and sleep in when I can!

@Teej_Muk @NiveusLepus
That's interesting! My brother was born in the afternoon, and isn't really a night owl like me.

@Teej_Muk @p3R1n01D @NiveusLepus Interesting theory. I've not heard that before. That works for me but I'm not sure of the time anyone else in my family was born.
