The whole system where you're either 100% disabled or on your own sucks, too, especially in the US, where not having a high-paying job usually means shitty insurance with a high deductible that prevents you from getting care at all with your not-high-paying salary.
If you were rated a percent disabled, and an employer could get that percent of your salary subsidized, disabled people could compete for good jobs and not be restricted to living on low income.
@AlphaCentauri @process @homebird I would rather like to see a flat tax on the profits for all businesses above a certain income range, in the 40% category, and use that to reduce taxes on individuals, all the while guaranteeing a UBI for all along with other social benefits.
This is profits, not net.
@NiveusLepus @AlphaCentauri @process @homebird stop with this lunacy! We cannot possibly ever put people over profits! Next thing you’re going to tell me is that people have the right to self-autonomy! This way lies madness! 😉
@Gambit_1 @AlphaCentauri @process @homebird Pay me no mind. :P
