@Periwinkle people are uncomfortable talking about another Depression because it is scary. But given the economic indicators, I think we MUST face the possibility that our economy is presently swirling around the drain, and about to go down, particularly since the one thing that was holding it somewhat together, the $600 per week unemployment, just ended.

@Myrth I was getting the extra 600. Coincidently my regular unemployment is 602. In Minnesota you get 50% wages with a cap that I didn’t reach.

We’ve been fortunate in some ways. My job is “essential” so I have been working throughout this pandemic. The downside is we are older with health issues and if I catch it, I am at high risk for death or serious illness. Worse, my husband is a semi-invalid and VERY HIGH RISK.
