11 dollars with tax for a Jimmy John's sub?
The fuck.
@MrGoat I'm not familiar with Jimmy John's but I'm guessing it's not gourmet?๐ค
@MrGoat oh, yeah, Subway's footlongs start around $10 now. In Missouri, not CA or NY.
If I lived near you, I'd be on my way with a table, all the fixings, and several cases of beer. I ran a lemonade stand as a kid, I know how to get it done, Mr. G.
@JoyfullyDazed ahahah =D that'd be hilarious.
@JoyfullyDazed If it's there a lot of folks will take a look at the least. If they see someone getting something they'll show more interest and possibly buy too.
@MrGoat Subway footlong BLT (not the extra one, just the classic). is $9.39.
A "Veggie Delight" (all veg, no meat) $8.39
Oh, and tax will take it up over $11.
@kismatt out they damn minds find me a coupon lol
@MrGoat Subway's latest is a BOGO. Dunno about JJs
@kismatt 10 meal deal chips, sandwich, cookie, drink at JJ
@kismatt For 12 bucks I can get a full meal elsewhere not fast food. =/
@MrGoat Ok, fun fact...I lived for many years in the town where JJ's was founded. As a student I ate their much cheaper priced sandwiches as did many faculty and staff of that same school. Dude that started the shop grew it in to the chain that it is nw but moved his corp headquarters from IL to FL as the state was taxing him too much. Big conservative always whining about taxes, unions, etc. Funny how those people were the ones who made enough money to afford his lousy frigging sandwiches.
@INtlBill I frequent that campus making deliveries. ๐
@MrGoat Oh, and their original store had a neon sign that offered "Free Smells." One night a liquored up buddy of mine walked in, ripped an epic fart and said he wanted to return the favor.
@INtlBill yup I know that one. =)
ALL food places have gotten significantly more expensive. I guess Arby's and MCDonald's are still cheapish.
@MrGoat 5 Guys is even higher. I have not bought a lunch for myself in a year or two that was under $10. And I'm talking regular fast food places.
Like what the actual.
What is costing so much?
There's no way there's even a 1/4lb of meat on the sandwich
