@MrGoat Holy hell Amazon makes it impossible to give feedback. Went around the site, no links. Chatted with a rep. They couldn't tell me where to send feedback and got rid of me by giving me a link that had nothing to do with anything.

@MrGoat Lol! I obviously asked their bot the wrong way. And the rep was no better.

I ended up sending my letter to their press department. My husband was in public relations and says that press departments normally send that kind of feedback on to the company.

@Myana @MrGoat I tried to use it regularly but needed to do summersaults to get it to apply to each order using a special site address, instead of having it automatically tied to my account. It wasn't impactful because it wasn't applied fairly.

@altucker @MrGoat Weird! For my account it was automatic. In fact if I went to the regular Amazon page it would actually prompt me, "Would you rather do this through AmazonSmile?" One click would get me back to the right place.

It wasn't huge but even a little bit of cash helped our local theater group. They were in fact the people that got me to use AmazonSmile in the first place. With a bunch of supporters using it, the theater got a small but useful check regularly.

@Myana @altucker Doesn't make sense to me to cut a charity donation from the purchase as it's a tax write-off.

@Myana just one more reason not to use Amazon (in case stealing open source software & patenting it, mistreating & underpaying employees, union busting, stealing product ideas from small artists/producers without compensation & overcharging aren't enough...)
