This past weekend I saw 'Megalopolis' and found it to be fine, but muddled and clinical, and this from someone who loves a good 'weird' movie. It's hard to recommend to anyone who isn't a cinephile.

I also saw 'The Wild Robot' and empathized more with the robot than any character in 'Megalopolis'. One of the best movies I've seen this year. I almost didn't go because the preview seemed weak, but this is a rare instance where the preview fails to do the movie any justice.

@chaos440 ooh! I have been reading the Wild Robot book to my daughter. Do you think the movie would be too scary or just right for an almost 7yr old?

@MotherDucker That's a tough question and largely depends on the 7 yr. old. I would have taken kids when they were 7. It is, at times, admittedly 'intense' but I'm not sure I would classify it as scary.

@chaos440 thanks. Mine is a little on the sensitive side, so this is good information. We will probably wait until we can stream it at home.
