@Ellis564 @MotherDucker @annamuneca I never contribute anything personal and maaay mention a pet. Remember, these people are strangers, so beware of what info you give out. The wrong person you don't want in your life may be listening. Including the bosses that may use that info to deny you "company benefits" or reason to fire you. IMO.
@Kittiekatt53 @Ellis564 @annamuneca it’s really shocking how informal, casual, and frankly unprofessional things have gotten in inpatient healthcare. And the healthcare industry is so hard up for staff that management hardly has a leg to stand on in terms of corrective actions.
I have always been and always will be patient focused. But the amount of inpatient personnel that are so checked out is jarring.
@Kittiekatt53 @Ellis564 @annamuneca if you ever have cause (I hope not) to visit an inpatient hospital unit, count the amount earbuds you see, the staff flouting infection prevention measures and eating at the nurses station or ignoring/half-assing PPE precautions.
@MotherDucker … until JC shows up then suddenly everyone is following rules and leadership is suddenly present all the time. 🙄
@Kittiekatt53 @annamuneca @Ellis564 the last time I even laid eyes on the upper echelon on my last unit was when the MAGNET surveyors came. It was the first time I saw leadership/executive rounds in about… oh, 4 years.
