I just finished Matrix by Lauren Groff, a historical book about a nun during the 12th century. What fascinated me most about it is that it's about a strong woman who is strong in female ways, not in male ways. Though she is considered to have some male-like traits, those aren't the strengths that are explored heavily by the book.

@misterfive I definitely had to Google it, because I was hoping it was about my Favorite 12th century nun, Hildegard Von Bingen. It's not, but it still sounds like a great book. I am a history nerd at heart. Specifically medieval art history.

Yeah, I think the MC is completely fictional. It was a fascinating book.
