I'm going to gently ask you to please not tell people that you'll pray for them.
Just- unless you know that you're speaking to a person who shares your faith- please don't.

I'm an atheist who was raised Catholic.
This is exhausting.
It matters more to the person offering prayer than it does me.
Therefore- I find it selfish and pushy.
When this happens I feel grateful that I'm simply an atheist and not, for instance, Muslim or Hindu or a Jainist or any other non-Christian faith.

@Shelter more similarities to be sure. I was left-handed until 2nd grade school Nuns correct that with a yardstick.

My great-uncle developed a stutter because teachers whipped his left hand every time he used it.
Thankfully my grandfather was not treated that way.

@Shelter according to the Catholic Church they stopped that left handed nonsense by mi 1800's
