Happy New Year's Eve Eve.
Now is the time to make plans for safe transport -- find out what is feasible. Municipal systems may have shorter holiday hours. There may be special programs offering free rides in your area. Designate a driver. Plan to spend the night.
Just don't become a statistic; your community would miss you.
This has been a reminder from your friendly librarian who is staying at home NYE.

@MelissaHDavis

Only rookies go out on New Yearā€™s Eve

Stay safe.

@LnzyHou
Going out would mean I'd have to wear something besides an old sweater and jeans and fuzzy socks. I'm not ready to shed my holiday wardrobe.

@LnzyHou @MelissaHDavis IMO It's a young person's holiday. I went out plenty of times on New Years. Now I'm in the rack by 10 like any other school night.

@LnzyHou @MelissaHDavis Wait, so doesn't that mean you're a multi year rookie yourself? And doesn't that mean you lied to Jack Smith? Also, doesn't it mean......šŸ˜‚

@LnzyHou @MelissaHDavis A very cool hotel used to have the room to house five different bands on NYE. That was quite a spectacle, certainly a good young person bucket list.

@MidnightRider @LnzyHou
When I was young (and dinosaurs roamed the Earth), Tysons Corner in NOVA had one building, with "legs" that stuck out from the center. My church would rent it on NYE, and have different types of bands in each leg.
I was a nerd; I preferred the Big Band/standard music to rock, even then.

@MelissaHDavis @LnzyHou That sounds cool. It made my mind go to that state far ride every fair has that looked like a good way to get sick, I never did take the ride on that one. PS I was in stage band we had to play stuff like "a string of pearls" for the parents.
