Afghanistan’s Taliban governing body has pledged to gradually enforce a law banning the media from publishing images of all "living things," reports Alarabiya News . A spokesman for the country’s Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice said the law will be implemented in increments across the country, along with a campaign to convince the public that taking images of living things is a violation of Islamic law, according to the AFP.
@EileenKCarpenter @MariaAragon64 because the ayatollahs are real. 😉

Mohammed is their Jesus, and an ayatollah is just like a pope. Prophets get special rules over and above mere sect leaders.
The Taliban in Afghanistan have just made it illegal to take any photos of any living animal or human.
@EileenKCarpenter The Taliban would go after these images of the Ayatollahs. They hate all images.

I've always wondered about the Iranian regime prohibiting images of Mohammed, as they would be idolatrous, but permitting big murals of their ayatollahs.
