ON this date in 1618 - Sir Walter Raleigh was beheaded under a sentence that had been brought against him 15 years earlier for conspiracy against King James I.
Bun Man and Mr. Purple are crouched near me this morning and reading this too (they are so cute when they read from the computer screen).

Bun says "Wait; let me get this straight, this Raleigh dude does all this chivalrous stuff like putting his cape out for the Queen and he still gets beheaded?"
