The group's breakup was due to Stewart wanting to further his success with his solo career.
Actually, the Boyz and I saw Rod and the Faces at the Boston Garden in '72, the same summer we saw the Stones there too w/ Stevie Wonder opening up for them.

Everyone always talks about Jagger's showmanship but, let me tell ya, Rod Stewart could solid put on a show also.
1975 might have been their last hurrah, but in 1972, this band was at the top of their game.
