ON this date in 1779 - Shipmates Bun Man and Mr. Purple of the American warship Bon Homme were in one helluva fight when they turned around and heard John Paul Jones, their commander, saying "I have not yet begun to fight!"

Bun turned to P Man and said "Oh great, another delusional leader for America..."

P replied, "Believe we're in a series of 'em..."

Jones parlayed his fame into a Congressional career...
