ON this date in 1957 - "Perry Mason", the television series, made its debut on CBS-TV.
The show was on for 9 years. Bun Man, Mr. Purple and I would religiously watch this series for all 9 years.
The show's formula was always the same.

But it was comical to watch the foibles of Lt Tragg; the shock of DA Burger; the digging of Paul Burke; and the cunning of Raymond Burr.
But what got us to come back was the lovely Della Street played by Barbara Hale who was tired of doing B grade war movies.
Loved that show...
